The Roosevelt Honors Staff for Assisted Living Week

The second week of September is the annual “Assisted Living Week,” a time to celebrate and thank the amazing staff and volunteers who are essential to our Assisted Living community.

Our Assisted Living staff at The Roosevelt in Elmhurst, IL, are a dedicated and inspiring team who come together to create an amazing Assisted Living experience for our residents — with an emphasis on personal independence wherever possible. 

The Assisted Living community at The Roosevelt is part of our full continuum of care. As a Life Plan Community, our various support services allow residents to age-in-place, continuing to enjoy the same friends and activities that they already love, with an additional helping hand when they need it.

Residents enjoy the same benefits and amenities of the rest of our community, including comfortable private residences, weekly housekeeping and linen services, three chef-prepared meals a day, and a full calendar of activities. Assisted Living residents also have access to:

1. 24-hour nursing and staff support

2. Oversight by a registered nurse

3. Medication management

4. A personalized plan of service

5. Onsite physical and occupational therapy

Our Assisted Living team is comprised of an amazing group of professionals. These are just a few of our staff members who make our community possible:

Maureen Carroll, our full-time Concierge, has been a member of our community for 8 incredible years! “I am always available to assist residents with anything they or their families need,” she says. “We have concierge services 24 hours a day.” Her favorite part of the job? “I love helping people.”

Louie Rodriguez is a valued member of our Life Enrichment team. His passion for working in senior living comes from the people and the welcoming community at The Roosevelt. “It’s about what they CAN do, not what they CAN’T do,” he says. “It’s like a family here. I feel like I’m home. The residents inspire me to give more, and they always give back in return.” Louie’s drum exercise session is always an amazing time for residents!

Linda Marre, our Sales Counselor, helps keep our team moving cohesively and working together. She reflects that “Our staff, team, and residents all work together to create a family environment. It’s this close-knit connection that makes The Roosevelt feel like home for everyone.”
